This self-renewing weekend will include philosophy, yoga, pranayama, and meditation as we study and contemplate Patanjali’s five personal observances of the second limb of yoga, the niyamas. During this week at the breath-taking mountaintop resort of Pura Vida, which means the “pure life” or “simple life,” indulge in yoga, meditation, breathwork, and spending time in the beauty of nature! During the ample free time each day, there will be many opportunities for self-care activities and outdoor explorations such as nature walks in the country’s biggest butterfly observatory, exploring gardens or medicinal herbs, or zip-lining through the jungle canopy.

2022 Yoga Teacher Training 200 Program

Program meets Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons one weekend per month
Fulfill your dreams of becoming a trained yoga teacher, or simply immerse yourself in your practice! RYT200 Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive 11-month program conveniently scheduled one weekend per month, January through November 2022. Upon satisfactory completion you will be eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level (RYT200.) You will enrich your practice and your life – even if you have no intention to teach.
The program focuses on the fundamentals of yoga and teaching shared by all traditions. We align with root aspects of yoga, breath, meditation, intention, and service which give rise to the various schools and styles. Students will learn the history and philosophy of yoga, asanas, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, physiology, therapeutics and adjustments. Creativity and personal exploration will be encouraged as you deepen your practice and develop your teaching skills.

2022 Science of Life: An Ayurveda Immersion

January 15 & 16, February 12 & 13, March 12 & 13, April 9 & 10, May 14 & 15, and June 11 & 12, 2022, 1pm – 4:30pm
This program will immerse you in yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda. Learn about herbs, food, daily habits and rhythms, nature’s rhythms, and integrate what you learn by creating a prescription for your own practice. Yoga students and teachers alike will benefit from the in-depth study of the doshas, prakriti, vikriti, dhatus, the six tastes, daily habits, and more. Upon completion, you will have the knowledge and skill to create a specific dosha balancing yoga practice, use food and herbs with awareness, and create a basic lifestyle plan for yourself and for others based upon their needs and goals to align your habits with dharma (living well or right living.)

Grow Your Practice: A Yoga Immersion

You already know that yoga has profound potential to transform your life for the better. Perhaps you’ve had a glimpse of yoga’s benefits like a sense of contentment, stress reduction, or increased flexibility and balance in your body-mind. Grow Your Practice: A Yoga Immersion invites you to develop your personal yoga practice and establish a greater understanding of the deeper concepts of yoga. Whether you are interested in enhancing your understanding as a committed yoga student, are on the path to teaching, or you are already a yoga teacher, this Immersion will offer something for all levels. Grow Your Practice will serve those looking to explore and weave a deeper knowledge of yoga into their daily life.
This six-month program taught over 7 weekends will provide participants with a progressive array of knowledge and tools to help facilitate a journey of personal practice, self-inquiry, and reflection. Each weekend will include a comprehensive asana, pranayama and meditation practice anchored around a chakra. Increase your understanding of basic physical anatomy of the body and breath along with subtle body energetics. Discuss and contemplate key concepts from Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita as well as other philosophy topics including a history of Yoga, Ayurveda, Gods and Goddesses, Tantra, mantra, and chanting.

Yoga and Hiking in Provence

Spend seven nights and six days in the enchanting south of France for this invigorating yoga retreat with Wildflower Yoga. Our homebase, Chateau de la Loubiere, is a 16th-century chateau at the foothills of the Luberon. ‘La Loubiere,’ is surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet just 20 minutes from Aix en Provence. We will explore the serene landscape, experience village culture, and of course, do yoga!
Yogis of all ability level are invited. Your host, Yoga Therapist, and E-RYT 500 yoga teacher Kelly Fisher will offer daily classes in yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation. Chef Rita Cain will provide breakfast and most dinners, and host Annette Para, who is native to Avignon, will assist you in having the time of your life.

Join Kelly Fisher, e-500 RYT, and Linda Stevens, 200 RYT, for a half-day retreat at the Green Farmacy Garden in Fulton, Maryland, the healing and spiritual garden founded by Jim and Peggy Duke.
Our outdoor retreat will begin at 9 a.m. with an introduction to this medicinal herb garden, followed by an asana practice, meditation, and chanting. Afterwards we’ll be treated to some freshly made herbal tea (and cookies) and then learn more about this amazing place and space.
At this outdoor event, our mats will be directly on the grass of Mother Earth. In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel and refund your payment.
